Flowers of the Udumbara dance in the wind, monsters and humans cry out in pain… sinners of the east—Tindoiimu tries to escape, disguising her despair beneath men’s clothing. She dares not recall the past, nevermind her hopes for the future…

Alone among her dreams, she returns time and again to a cool, brilliant night. She’s dressed up as a prince, with Tingko, who sews their outfits, by her side. The two of them laugh together, bathed in the warm light of the fireplace… Until the laughter is cut short, and she awakes to the sound of guards giving chase. Hoisting herself up, she runs off once more, blinded by the black of night.
